Ararat pedestrian dies following collision last month
An Ararat pedestrian has died in hospital following a collision in Ballarat last month.
It is believed the 78-year-old local man was attempting to cross Sturt Street when he was hit by a car about on May 9.
The man was taken to hospital following the collision but later died.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old Ballarat woman, stopped at the scene to assist and is working with police with the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The latest death brings the total of lives lost on Victoria's roads to 91 so far fro 2018 compared to 106 at the same point in 2017.
