Bronze for Joel Emmett at dwarf games
Horsham sportsman Joel Emmett has shared a bronze medal with Australian basketball team-mates while competing at the seventh World Dwarf Games in Canada.
Australia dominated the match against Canada, leading 11-1 at half time before ultimately triumphing by 11 points, 17-6.
Emmett, 18, is competing in his first World Dwarf Games, at the University of Guelph, Ontario.
The Federation University student was also selected to represent Australia in badminton, track and soccer.
The 2017 games is the largest sporting event in history exclusively for athletes with dwarfism. Its goal is to attract athletes from around the world to participate in a wide range of sports.
The World Dwarf Games run until Saturday.
