2pm Update

A 33 old Male driver has serious injuries - after hitting a vehicle head on going the opposite direction on the Western highway just before lunch.

The other car was carrying two adults who were taken to hospital for observation. Police are still investigating the cause with the scene currently being measured up and the western Highway will remain closed for another three to four hours.

The Warrayatkin road incident involved a single vehicle which went off the road into a tree.

An adult male and two children in the vehicle were uninjured - with Superintendent Paul Margetts saying "they were very lucky"..again police don't know the cause and are looking into how the tree came to rest where it has.

Also a minor nose to tail occurred a few hours ago with one vehicle going up the others backside coming out of the BP in Stawell.

Superintendent Margetts says to all road users "To concentrate, take your time, the roads are busy - there is lots of traffic - everyone who's driving needs to take care and all motorists need to work as a team"
