PHOTOS: Horsham and District Relay for Life 2017

Another great year For the Horsham and District Relay for Life.

34 Teams registered for this years event, a bit down from last year.

Over 593 people participated in the event this year.

Walking around the oval, going to all the different teams sites, they all had a way of raising money through out the event.

From raffles to merchandise, lollies and baked goods you could purchase, my favorite had to be a cold coin donation to get a photo with your "head in a hole" looking like a leprechaun.

I had a chat with David Campey, a man on a mission. His goal was to walk 80km. David had gone through 3 pairs of shoes and while I was talking to him he was just pair foot and up to 83kms. He only had a two hour break throughout the entire event.

Justin Amor talked about the Hall of Fame. This year they are introducing a Hall of Fame to recognize teams, businesses and individuals who have contributed to this event throughout the years.

You can find a nomination form and more details on the facebook page

K.D (other wise known as Kingsley Dalgleish) closed the event by trying to take a selfie with the crown (very amusing to watch)

All in all it was great to see every ones support for this great cause and i hope its bigger and better next year.

If you would like to participate next year head to the website and register yourself, a team or a business and help raise funds to fight cancer.

It's still not to late to donate.
